BROOKWOOD CHURCH

Helping a growing church communicate one unified story.

THE INVITATION

Brookwood Church invited me to develop a communications strategy and creative campaign as part of the interview process for a Communications Manager role. The assignment extended beyond creating a sermon series campaign—it asked how I would steward communication across an entire church community.

Rather than beginning with design, I began with a question.

How do we help people move from attending church to becoming part of its story?

That question shaped every decision that followed.

From creative direction and campaign strategy to storytelling, photography, and social media, each piece was designed to support one clear message across every touchpoint. The goal wasn’t simply to create beautiful communication, but to create communication that helped people understand, engage, and take their next step.

MY APPROACH

Before creative direction comes curiosity. Before strategy comes understanding.

Every decision began by asking what would best serve Brookwood’s mission, its people, and the story it was trying to tell.

Every campaign begins with listening.

  • LISTEN

Understanding the mission before creating the message.

  • DISCOVER

    Identify the story worth telling.

  • DESIGN

Develop a visual language that reflects the story.

  • UNIFY

Create consistency across every communication touchpoint.

  • INVITE

Move people beyond awareness toward participation.

FEATURED WORK

01

Campaign Identity

The campaign identity established a timeless, editorial visual language rooted in authenticity, community, and intentional design. Built to remain consistent across every platform, it created a unified experience from the first announcement to the final Sunday.

02

Social Campaign

Designed to build awareness, generate anticipation before launch, and encourage meaningful engagement throughout the Kingdom: Men & Women series. Every social touchpoint, from launch graphics and story sequences to reels and engagement posts, supported one unified campaign experience.

03

Storytelling Strategy

An authentic testimony demonstrates how the Kingdom of God is lived out through everyday faithfulness. Designed to complement the sermon series, the story reinforces the central theme without assuming a specific sermon focus.

04

Merchandise Collection

Designed with a lifestyle approach, the collection extended the campaign beyond Sunday through timeless, everyday pieces that reinforced the visual identity.

  • REFLECTION

This project reinforced my belief that effective communication is about more than creating content. At its best, it brings clarity to a message, creates meaningful connection, and helps people take their next step.
